Since I was a child, my life has developed between shoes. My family has been linked to the world of footwear since long before I was born, so one of the first arrows that I remember having with shoes, was with red stilettos. The image is still fresh in my mind even though it has been more than 20 years since I saw them.
Since then the red shoes have been always one of my weaknesses; it is no different if they are slippers, sandals or stilettos, if they are red I feel towards them a magnetic attraction. I must confess that this is one of the reasons why the logo of Luisa Toledo has that little red detail, as a personal wink at that first crush.
As I mentioned in the previous article, the name of the brand pays homage to the founder of the family business that has helped me to carry out this project, my grandmother Luisa, a fierce and courageous woman. I want Luisa Toledo to be a shout for the power of all women, in a world of women's shoes, which is plagued by masculine names like Manolo Blanick, Cristian Louboutin, Stuart Weitzman, Jimmy Choo ... Every time we listen these names, we all come to mind shoes that we would dream of being able to wear, but that unfortunately are within reach of very few. This is one of the reasons why I embark on the adventure of designing footwear, so that any woman can turn her ideal to buy luxury shoes at low cost prices, in a reality.
With this goal and thanks to the support of many people, I have managed to carry out Luisa Toledo. Women's shoes created to convey all the passion I feel for women's shoes, and in this passion stilettos have a very important role, why? Because stilettos are a type of footwear that contains in itself all the essence, elegance and glamour of fashion. We all know the power of high heels to give a look that may seem at first sight simple. Instead, when you wear that same look with a stilettos evolves making it unique, special and daring. Perfect LOOK!
Personally, I like to have fun with fashion and especially with shoes. I am one of those who dresses in the closet with very basic and simple pieces, which I like to wear and complement with shoes, bags or any type of accessory that breaks with that monotony and gives it a different touch. That's cause I consider it so interesting to invest in complements, whether basic or more elaborate, you never know when or what look will give you that different and original style that we both look for when we want to inspire.
If you like fashion in any of its slopes, you must know the importance of daring in some occasions with depending on what clothes or accessories. That crazy option that can appear stilettos in a powerfull color such as red, can be what gives the point of distinction and freshness to your look, and that makes it unmistakable. I recognize that it happens to me a lot when I look at fashion lookbooks. Let's be honest, we have all taken our hands at times with tendencies that have returned or been transformed, and we have just fallen. The advantage in which I shield myself in terms of shoes is that heels or stilettos are more invariable in fashion: there may be many designs for the same idea, which in essence will always be maintained. See the case of stilettos in black. It is a high-heel shoe closet, it is a life-saver, or rather, save-looks. That's why, every time I talk to trusted friends, or when they ask me or comment "What a good idea. I really like how you dress or how you wear this. I always say the same thing: "Inspiration has come for my shoes." There is nothing like that feeling of taste because your loved ones appreciate those minimal details, either because they are an innate part of you or because you try to develop them with all your desire, strength and momentum.
Another key to "good inspiration" is reusing clothes that we can have in the closet, such as straight cut jeans and ankle, which are perfect for wearing 100% heeled shoes. To me it is an idea that, personally, I love, very minimalist and elegant, still having as base of the look some jeans. And I say minimalist because of a shirt, a stilettos or sensible heel shoes (for all tastes and comforts), and a medium purse, or even a clutch. And so, we have a look made, whether for the office or to go out to have something relaxed ... Do not you think? In case you still have not guessed it, I am very giving prominence in the looks to the shoes, either because I have always lived among them or because they are a real fetish for me. But really, hopefully we are more and more women that we let go and inspire, for fashion and clothing - that we never lack - but also we are able to twist our attitude, and begin to create looks from our shoes. Do you think a fun idea and to put into practice? Who is targeted? I will wait your comments.
